Literature Text

Your fingers tangle with mine,
Small
Delicate
My hands dwarf yours
And
I'm almost afraid I'll crush them.
The music begins,
Low.
Growing louder,
Louder,
Till it flies
Entwining us
And we dance
You're the only thing that matters
I promise you,
My girl.

The others have gone,
We're alone
The music
Is silent.
Silent
Save for the sound of our feet
And the whisper of the wind
One dance
Just one to
Our song,
The music soars in the air
Flying
Encircling us
With its sweet
              Haunting
Melody
The last of the birds
And the wind.

              So small,
So delicate
My girl,
For tonight,
Just one night
You're my girl.
You're all that matters

Rain.
It pours down
We don't care
We dance
My girl
Safe in my arms
We let the rain pound on the roof,
Never mind the leaks
Or the storm
We dance
Our dance
A slow dance
My girl,
Your feet are slow
Under the bandages
You're blind,
I know you are
So,
We don't move much
But we dance.
The melody
Still.   .  .
              Haunting
Like the first one
We ever danced to.
My girl,
Mine alone.
Your fingers meet with mine,
You smile
For the first time in days
And we dance
Never mind the rain
This is our song
The wind
The waves
They play for us
And us alone
My girl.

              This haunting melody,
We dance.
I'm yours
Forever
And always.
I promise.
You're the only thing that matters.
A poem from a character's point of view. *sighs* Young love, he has a happy ending, finally.

This reminded me a lot about My Boy and me.
He says some of the same sweet things.
And since I have to be away from him so often its nice to read such sweet things as this.
Thank You
